How can medical intermediates be desalted?
Electrodialysis technology is a kind of membrane separation technology, electrodialysis principle refers to under the action of DC electric field, with potential difference as the driving force, using the selective permeability of ion-exchange membrane to separate the electrolyte from the solution, so as to achieve the purpose of desalination, concentration, refining or purification of the solution. Can electrodialysis also be used to desalinate medical intermediates?
Pharmaceutical intermediates are some chemical raw materials or chemical products used in the process of drug synthesis. Such chemical products can be produced in ordinary chemical plants without the production license of drugs. As long as they reach some levels, they can be used in the synthesis of drugs. When electrodialysis is used for the desalination of intermediate medicine, the parameters of the original medical intermediate urine are as follows:
1, weight: 8kg; 2, conductivity: 15.6ms/cm; Temperature: 8 degrees Celsius; PH value: 5.6.
The electrodialysis device we used was composed of 20 pairs of Crest different phase ion-exchange membranes, the membrane size was 200*400mm, and the effect membrane area was 15.7*32*20=1m2.
The operation is as follows:
1, light alkali (namely pharmaceutical intermediate feed liquid) in the circulation process, supplemented several times of feed liquid. Concentrated water (pure water equipment) contact circulation;
2. The pressure of the thick chamber is 0.01mpa higher than that of the light chamber.
Conclusion:
1. Desalination treatment time: 2 hours and 50 minutes;
2. Desalting effect: the electrical conductivity of urine of pharmaceutical intermediates decreased from 15.6ms/cm to 0.36ms/cm.
The results showed that the desalting rate of medical intermediates by electrodialysis could reach 97.7% under the premise of economic feasibility. This fully shows that electrodialysis technology has incomparable advantages in the treatment of medical intermediates
